Bags Galore

E's: Here are some of the bags that we made in the last few months. We didn't buy any patterns thus, the simple construction.

I use this bag now to store my meager collection of fabric.

I liked the look of this jean so I decided to make a clutch bag. I didn't really use a pattern so I had to construct and deconstruct the bag few times before I figured it out. It's not perfect but I works and I was proud. I did learn that sewing takes patience and that next time I should buy pattern.

I love this fabric and I wanted to make a small tote. I didn't use interfacing which was a mistake because the bag is soft. I can still use it for lighter things.

I made this bag just big enough to carry around my paperbacks in the summer time.

M's:
I love the combination of this fabric with the patterns and the colors (orange and stripes). The execution of this bag was poorly done. As E mentions, we did not use any pattern. We are basically stumbling through the dark. Despite this, I am pleased at how this came out. I use this bag often to carry items to and from work.

I'm particularly pleased with the way I incorporated the ribbon into the handles.

I love this bag. It's extremely simple in design. Perfect for walking around the neighborhood with just a set of keys, a few bills and cell phone.
