More baby gifts

E's: I had fabric left over from the baby quilt I made for Filip and wanted to use it to make some matching things for him. I made Steve the cat from Denise Schmidt "Quilts" book. There was pattern for the cat in her book but I kind of winged the body outline so it looks a bit different from her design. I also left out the tail, so it's a tailless cat but I like him either way. It was actually fun making the stuffed toy so I'm thinking of making another one with a different fabric.
I also had some patchwork pieces left from the quilt so I made bibs for the baby.

Baby Quilt for Filip

E's: I made this quilt for my godson Filip. This is my first completed quilt. It made the quilt top a long time ago but didn't actually finish the entire quilt until last weekend.

Coffee Table runner

E's: I made this simple runner for our coffee table this weekend since I was home and was finally feeling like doing some sewing. I started the patchwork piece few months ago and never finished it. Since it was half done, it took 15 minutes to complete it. I'm going to work some other unfinished projects this weekend, so stay tuned!

Oven Mitt

E's: I made my first oven mitt! I was so excited because the ones I have at home are in a pretty sad condition. I had the fabric cut out for a long time but didn't have any batting. I went with a really thin batting which was a mistake because I can't really use this mitt to carry anything super hot. The second one I'm going to make will have the thick batting so I don't burn my hands. :)
