Goodies from Abroad

E's: These are some goodies I brought back from Dolomiti. I was surprised to find that there were actually a lot of small stores which sold fabric and textile products in even the smallest village. They had a lot of lace and fabric with folk print which I'm not too fond of. However, I bought two things that I really liked.

This fabric is a little thick so it might be good for some kitchen project

This trim was so cute I could not resist. Now, I just have to think of a project that I could use it for. For now, I'll just add it to my pile of fabric I've been collecting.

Ready for quilting

E's: I finished my quilt top and it's now ready for quilting. I'll begin after I return from my vacation. Here is a peak of what it looks like. It's folded so you can't see the entire design.

Small Projects from Scrap Fabric

E's: I accumulated a small stack of scraps of fabrics from different projects that I didn't know what to do with. So I decided to make few small things that will put those scraps to good use.

Small laundry bag: I made this drawstring bag for when I travel. It's nicer than just using a plastic bag to keep your laundry in.

Tissue holder: Who doesn't need a cute tissue holder?
The back of the tissue holder. I used pieces of fabric left over from a quilt top I'm working on.

Coasters: My first set of coasters! Again, I used discarded patchwork pieces I had left over from making my quilt top. They are all different shapes and sizes so the coasters are not all the same.

I used the left over fabric from the drawstring bag for the back of the coasters.
